Galapos Beach

Surrounded by the stunning landscape of Serra da Arrábida, Galapos Beach is one of the most beautiful in the region, sheltered by the cliffs that protect it from winds, keeping the tranquility of its waters.

 



 

Very quiet and sheltered beach with clear waters that favors the observation of marine species. The sea is calm, tranquility that makes it ideal for swimming. But in these crystal clear waters you can also easily observe the seabed. The two combined features make this lifeguard beach an ideal place for diving.

 

Camilo Beach

Nestled between jagged cliffs, Camilo Beach has a small sandy beach which is accessed by a staircase with about 200 steps. Before you start the descent enjoy the breathtaking scenery.

 



Very close and accessible from the same road is Ponta da Piedade, an impressive rock formation with jagged shapes and caves excavated by the sea. This is one of the ex-libris of the region, which can be admired in its fullness on a boat trip, traversing the interior of the caves and the small deserted beaches nestled between the rocks.

 

Salto Beach

Situated next to Porto Côvo, in the municipality of Sines, between the beaches of Serro da Águia and Cerca Nova, this is one of the small and cozy beaches of the beautiful Costa Vicentina. The access is by a narrow road but in good condition.

 

 

 

Salto beach has been an oasis for naturists for many years. A freshwater spout, which flows from the cliffs, allows a "shower" liberating the sea salt. It has a step ladder. When the tide is low it is possible to reach the beach of Cerca Nova.

 

Monte Clérigo Beach

Monte Clérigo Beach has a large sandy beach and a very interesting rocky platform where you can see various marine organisms at low tide, highlighting species such as starfish, crabs, octopuses and shoals of small bream.

 



At this Algarve beach you can also enjoy a swim in the various natural pools that appear at low tide. You can also see impressive dune fields that form a beautiful valley by the waterline. Along the beach there is a small set of vacation homes and a pine forest with picnic spaces. On the way down to the beach you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view.

 

Amália Beach

Located in the middle of the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina Natural Park, the beautiful Amália beach is a natural charm, in an almost pure state. The beach owes its name to the artist Amália Rodrigues who frequented it a lot.

 



The access to the beach is made by stairs next to the Amalia house. Due to its calmness and almost pure nature, this is a beach very frequented by naturists, also meeting conditions for surfing and sport fishing.

 

 

Almograve Beach

Belonging to the municipality of Odemira, Almograve is mainly characterized by its unique quietness, in a village on the Alentejo coast. Almograve village is about 500 meters from the sea, inviting for a walk or bike ride to the beach. With two very distinct parts, Almograve offers one of the most beautiful beaches of the Alentejo Coast.

Dona Ana beach

Nestled between cliffs, Dona Ana Beachs sandy beach, washed by a sea of clear and calm waters, is one of the most popular images of the beaches of the Algarve. The very jagged rocks that emerge from the sea or spread across the sand give the vacationers some shadows and give the landscape a picturesque touch.

 



In addition to excellent support infrastructures, Dona Ana Beach benefits from its proximity to Lagos, one of the most important cities in the Algarve that can be reached within a 25-minute walk. A lifeguard oversees the beach, and the waters are far enough away from the Lagos harbor entrance to remain completely clean. There are small rock formations that contain common sea life and are fun to dive around, but brace yourself for the surprisingly cold waters even during the peak of summer.

 

João de Arens Beach

 

Access to the beach is not easy and we should leave the car far enough and take a good walk to reach the sea. The advantage of this is that we will find a very quiet beach with almost no one to bother us.

One element that will delight us about this beach is the   natural cliffs that surround the beach and give a great sense of privacy. On these cliffs in the cold times of the year, several seabirds take refuge.
