Alqueirão River Beach in Gerês in Portugal, distinguished with gold quality
This river beach bathed by the intersection of several rivers, including the Cávado, is located in Vilar da Veiga, the largest parish of the municipality of Terras de Bouro, leading the municipality to “welcome the fact that Praia do Alqueirão , for the 2019 bathing season, have been identified by Quercus ”as deserving gold quality status.
The Gold Quality Award, created and developed by Quercus, has already been in existence for ten years and consists of the monitoring that Quercus performs on the work that has been developed in the area of protection and care with all bathing areas.
