A real 25 square meter kite with air conditioning and sleeping room overlooking the Douro and where you can see the starry sky when you are lying in bed through an opening at the top. 


In all there are ten barrel rooms in the new wing of Quinta da Pacheca, which were named Wine Barrels. They are set in an elevated area of the property.

 



 



 



It is a historic milestone in the Quinta da Pacheca route after it was acquired by Maria do Céu and Paulo Pereira from the heirs of the Serpa Pimentel family in May 2012. At that time, the wine estate was going through a serious financial crisis and was nearing its end. until the Portuguese emigrant couple in France seized the opportunity to make the farm "a company".

The ambitious project includes, besides the accommodation space, a spa, a restaurant and two swimming pools that will serve, according to Maria do Céu Gonçalves, one of the owners, to meet the high demand from foreign tourists.  “Rooms are no longer enough for events. There is more and more demand and customers are disappointed that they cannot book weekends , "the manager tells the newspaper.




Quinta da Pacheca, whose origins date back to the mid-18th century, has 75 hectares of vineyards in the Douro Demarcated Region, in the heart of World Heritage.
