Figueira Beach one of the most secret in the Algarve unique place Portugal

The  Figueira Beach  is a beach in the town of Budens, Vila do Bispo municipality, Algarve, Portugal. It is located west of Salema Beach.

Access by car means leaving the car about 500m from the beach, and subsequent pedestrian access is through a narrow trail that runs through a valley with verdant slopes, pine forest areas and limestone rocky outcrops where caves are seen. The beach is very quiet and has a secluded air of the world. There is on the east side a ruin of a fifteenth-century fortification.

In Figueira, cars are about 800 meters from the beach and pedestrian access is through a narrow trail that runs through one of the most beautiful valleys of this coast. On the verdant slopes lined with Mediterranean scrub and pine forests, imposing limestone rock outcrops emerge where caves are visible.

In the floodplain of the small stream, the visitor finds orchards, especially with fig and olive trees and a lot of birds entertained with the fruits.

The beach is very quiet and has a certain end of the world air, possibly due to the absence of vehicles in the landscape. The sand is bordered by cliffs of warm colors with very curious shapes, where you can see, at the source, the ruins of a fortification of the century. XVI. Here too the rolled pebble is used by bathers to construct small semicircular stone shelters that act as windbreaks. This is a quiet and little frequented beach.
