The Roman Galleries in Lisbon will be open all year from 2020
The news is advanced by the Lisbon City Council, which on Facebook announces the creation of an "interpretive center with access accessible to all via Rua da Prata" that will allow access to galleries without queues, not even days, from the end of 2020
Normally, each visit costs 2 €, children under 12 do not pay. In addition to the “normal” visits, the Lisbon Museum promotes thematic walking routes beginning at the Roman Galleries and ending at the Lisbon Museums nuclei: Santo António, Roman Theater and Casa dos Bicos (archaeological nucleus).
According to EGEAC, the Roman structure was discovered underground in Lisbon downtown, in 1771, following the 1755 earthquake and subsequent reconstruction of the city.
