Located at the Portela de Oliveira Place  , in  the Serra do Buçaco forest perimeter , the  Moinho Vitorino Nemésio Museum is located in the holiday home of Eng. Arantes de Oliveira, Minister of Public Works in the previous regime, space acquired in the eighties by the local authority.

In 1980, the Vitorino Nemésio mill was donated by the writers heirs to the municipality, which recovered it by providing it with the functionality of yore. Vitorino Nemésio, who was President of the Portuguese Association of Friends of the Mills and "tireless miller of words", in the words of David Mourão Ferreira, owned three mills in Penacova, whose natural heritage has often been an inspiration to him. become an unavoidable cultural reference of the Municipality.
