Alentejo River Beach voted the best in Europe
Tapada Grande River Beach in the São Domingos Mine, Mértola municipality, was elected for the first time the best European destination in the Interior Beaches category.

This beach located in the interior of Alentejo, has blue flag and lifeguard swimmer. Parasols, picnic tables and barbecues are also available. On the beach there are canoes and pedalos that you can rent to take a walk through the calm waters of the reservoir.
