Ribeira houses Serra da Estrela Portugal


Being a collection of restored old houses, Casas Da Ribeira is just 4 km from Seia, in the village of Póvoa Velha. 

The Ribeira houses are the fruit of the reconstruction of a Portuguese historic village whose origin is lost in the mists of time. In the early 90s the acquisition and reconstruction of  typical stone houses that were ruins began.
 
From a long process of reconstruction, several houses that rise today as a local tourist accommodation can be rebuilt,  echoing the history and tradition of such an emblematic region as Serra da Estrela , Portugals most important mountain system reaching its highest point. the Tower, an altitude of 1993 meters.
