Portugal has one more Amieira beach in Alqueva Alentejo
Praia da Amieira is the third river beach to be born in Alqueva, has a 4,500 square meters lawn and 18,000 square meters of sand, as well as various support and leisure equipment, being seen as a project that can contribute to increase the tourism in the region.
The mayor of Portel, José Manuel Grilo stressed to Plain that “one of the objectives we have in the municipality is tourism and the Amieira river beach has excellent conditions and will have a very positive impact on our region, our municipality and will attract a lot of people.
Please note that the project has an environmental education center, shaded area, a castaway medical and relief station, toilets, a sandy and grassy bathing area with accessibility for people with reduced mobility and a bar and its location is very close to Alder which will have a greater impact and attractiveness for vacationers.
In terms of equipment, the Amieira river beach also has an environmental education center, shaded area, castaway medical and rescue station, sanitary facilities and bar, as well as accessibility for people with reduced mobility.
