The Bread Museum, based in Seia at Quinta Fonte do Marrão, is a private museum that aims to collect, preserve and display the objects and heritage of Portuguese bread in its ethnographic, political, social, historical, religious and artistic aspects.
The Bread Museum project dates back to 1996, arising from synergies created between historians, entrepreneurs and teachers. From that year 1996 until its opening on 26 September 2002, the estate has been collected either through antique dealers, bookstores and auctions or through donations.
