There is an entire village for rent in Portugal is in the Algarve Aldeia da Pedralva
The Pedralva Village , a rural village of Vila do Bispo municipality, which was already inhabited by more than 100 people, started the last 25 years, a painful process of desertification.
In 2006, when we found this village, it had only 9 original inhabitants, and a set of about 50 houses in an advanced state of disrepair. Only nine of these houses met minimum living conditions.

Faced with this scenario, and determined to give life and dignity to this village again, we have moved to the first phase of this complex process of urban regeneration. For two years, between 2006 and 2008, we sought, in Portugal and Europe, the more than 200 owners / heirs to negotiate and buy a set of 30 houses.
After this phase, we began the process of urban regeneration, trying to faithfully reproduce the rural ambience, achieved through the use of restored furniture in all houses, as well as the use of building materials faithful to the old buildings.
Also in the process of urban regeneration there was the vision of the Vila do Bispo City Council to recover its heritage and history, deciding that this was the opportunity to recover, and consequently, to gain another village for its county. That is why it has invested in the necessary infrastructures, where it stands out, the laying of all underground electrical wiring, new lighting, new plumbing and new street paving, maintaining the layout and spirit of the old villages.
