Soares dos Reis National Museum Porto Portugal
Former Portuense Museum of Paintings and Prints and first public art museum of Portugal, founded in 1833. It has been installed since 1940 in the Palacio dos Carrancas, built at the end of the century. XVIII, by a wealthy family of Porto and currently classified as property of public interest. It has collections of ceramics, sculpture, engraving, jewelery, furniture, jewelery, painting, textiles and glass, especially the Desterrado, masterpiece of the museums patron, sculptor António Soares dos Reis.
