The largest suspension pedestrian bridge in the world is in Portugal 516 meters long
This pedestrian structure, which led to contestation by residents, will be 516 meters long and will be suspended 175 meters from the Paiva River.
Located next to the Aguieiras Waterfall geo-site and near the escarpment known as the Paiva Canyon, the bridge is expected to be completed by 2019 and will feature a railing deck with a usable width of 1.20 meters.
Once open to the public, it will be of paid use, and its price should be in two different ways, depending on whether the visitor wants to know only the bridge or walk through it as an integral part of Paiva Walkways, whose access, for now, costs a maximum of two euros for citizens residing outside the county, and 2.5 euros for local residents who purchase a lifetime pass to access the route.
Access to the bridge will be paid and visitors will be offered various access packages. In one of them you can only cross the bridge, but there will also be options for those who want to join the route of Paiva Walkways. Currently access to the Worlds Best Adventure Attraction costs two euros.
